Taran's 6 days postop and doing really well but he's still not quite back to eating well. He's much better today than yesterday where he'd cry any time a bottle came near his mouth but he's still doesn't seem to be enjoying his food. He didn't do much throwing up post op so I'm not quite sure if this is just a "I don't feel well so I'm not going to eat well" thing. Anyone else experience this?

I don't recall any eating issues- if he's still taking any meds, that could be affecting his desire to eat, or just as you put it- I don't feel 100%, really don't feel like eating!!! Good luck- I'm sure his appetite will come back soon!

Austin went from the 95th percentile in weight before surgery to the 50th percentile a couple of weeks after (and has stayed there ever since). I'm not sure if the swelling of his face had anything to do with it, but he definately had a harder time eating after his surgery. I offered it more often and he took it less often.
Hang in there, he will come around and start eating again.
PS. Your boys are adorable!!

William did not eat well for a couple of weeks after the surgery. Just because he did not feel well. he could not go home from hosp. until he ate solid food. He finally ate half a PB sandwich and got to go home.
He was finally eating and acting normal by 3 weeks. I'm with Jennifer, I think the meds may have decreased his appetite too.
Good luck. The boys are very handsome!
