We went to Skylie's appointment today and they didn't do bloodwork or anything. They just talked with us and asked a bunch of questions about our parents and their brother's and sisters (our aunts and uncles) and our siblings. They said that just looking at her she doesn't appear to have any genetic disorders and since no one in our immediate family has any disorders she should be fine.
They want to see her back in one year to make sure she is growing well and thats it. I don't even see what the point of that appointment was. All we did was repeat everything we have told her pediatrician and that was it. I'm seriously considering not even going back in a year because there really was nothing that they did that her pediatrician couldn't do just as well. It costs us almost $10 worth of gas just to get to the clinic and it takes an hour to drive there and then an hour to drive home.
The only good part about the drive there was we passed this accident between a truck and a cop car. It was pretty cool...LOL (don't worry, no one was hurt) Here is the link to the news story about it:
