We have an appointment for Sylvie to see the pediatric opth. on the 28th. Wow the office was not friendly when I called. They receptionist kept insisting that if Sylvia's eyes were found to be okay, insurance would not pay. She must have told me 5 times to bring money to pay for the visit as this is probably not medically indicated. I finally said...."The neurosurgeon recommended us to have an eye exam. My daughter had half her skull removed. If that is not a medical condition what is?" She still persists that I will need to pay upfront if Sylvie's eyes are fine. I would not even consider going there except for I have so many referrals to this physician. Has anyone else had this issue? I need to call my insurance company on Monday! UGHHHHHHHH!:pullhair

 Well HELLO!!! Lisa they need they're money!!! I can't believe people are so unkind and uncaring, especially when it comes to kids!!:banghead Like an office like that doesn't get enough money to pay the bills!!! Good luck, remember when it comes to money most people have no sympathy!!!:no

That is horrible!! We didn't have any problems. Zachary had an eye exam last year and his eyes were fine. The insurance payed everything but like $10. Hopefully the doctor is a lot nicer than the receptionist.

That is so rude! Have you tried to call the insurance company to find out if this is true, and to report her attitude? I'm sorry she gave you such a hard time :hugg

Thanks guys! I'm going to call my insurance tomorrow! Hopefully I will find good coverage. We usually do have good coverage. I know we have a vision plan but this doctor's office said they do not accept vision plans. They only do medical insurance. FRUSTRATING!:ugh
