I just wanted to let everyone know how Brodie is doing!
We went to Cheo on Wednesday, Jan 31st for admitting. Brodie was such a trooper and hung in there all though he couldn't play around (he had an IV line in his foot).
The next morning at 7:45 am they took him downstairs with us by his side to the OR. We said our goodbyes and he was taken in around 8am. We waited in the waiting room with Chance's dad Terry until my mom, Matt and his girlfriend showed up a little after 10. We still hadn't heard anything until a nurse came to see us and let us know that he was still being prepped for surgery (it could take a couple of hours or so) but they were about an hour behind.
The surgery started around 11am. By 1pm my dad showed up so we literally had taken up almost all of the waiting room...
The nurse came by to let us know that everything was alright, but that he had lost some blood so they had to do a blood transfusion.
He was in surgery until 615pm (it was really long!!) and than put right into ICU. He stayed there over night until the next morning when he was transferred to a monitored room (this is where he stayed until Monday afternoon). The second day was hard because his eyes were so swollen that he could not see (they stayed swollen shut up until Saturday night) so this made his so frustrated.
But when he did open his eyes, he was back to his old self again. He was flirting with all of the nurses on the ward. He was the talk of the ward...nurses were coming to see him who had nothing to do with him because everyone was talking about how cute he was (even all swollen up).
We were finally discharged on Wednesday Feb 7th and now he's home and loving every minute of it....well except now he doesn't have hottie nurses flirting with him every minute, but he is still happy to be home!!!! Just wanted to let y'all know...

Glad to hear everything went so well. I can certainly see why all the nurses were coming in to meet your cutie pie.

Good going Mom.
