Went really good! Dr. Reid was very impressed with how good her head is looking and how active she is! She sits, crawls, stands, climbs the couch!

The next appt to meet with both surgeons to discuss the specifics of the next surgery, like what time, helmet, and other stuff, is on Nov 19, then the next surgery is on Dec 7.

That's wonderful Randi. I'm glad she is doing so well. It's so hard to believe you'll have to do it all over again so soon, but I know she'll blow you away again with how well she does.

So wonderful to hear that she had a good appnt. Sounds like she's just where she should be. I hate to think that you're gearing up for round two, but you've been there, done that, so at the very least, you're prepared. Keep us posted as things come to a head again... You're one tough Mommy!!! We're here for you!!!

Randi that is wonderful news (that the dr was so pleased). What is the second surgery for? Did she have 2 fused sutures? Hugs for Raeleen!!!

Jessica - she had 3 fused sutures, saggital, metopic and righ coronal. They are doing the FOA procudure this time and bringing the bone above her right eye out more. It will make it more rounder on that side and give even more room for her brain to grow. They were originally going to do this during the 1st surgery along with the CVR, but after they got going, they thought it would be safer to do it in a 2nd surgery because she was under for so long during the 1st one. She was given the anethesea (not sure if i spelled that right) at about 1:30 pm and it was almost 8 pm when the surgeon came out to tell us they were done, so about 6 1/2 hours.
