Anyone else in this helmet?

On their website it clearly states that craniosynostosis is a contraindication for using this type of helmet. Now I am confused. Dr. David did say that Noah did not have cranio, but I don't understand how that could be since his Metopic is closed (started closing at 2 months, completely closed at 4).

SO, again, for you Metopic mom's out there....

WHAT IN THE WORLD does this mean?!?! Does he or doesn't he have cranio?!

I'm not 100% sure as my dd, Georgia has plagio. Buuut, I would maybe get a second opinion. Just to be sure. My dd is in the DOC band and shes doing so well. I hope you can get some straight foward answers soon. :)

I would email or call Dr. David with your concerns. She is really good at explaining in more or better detail whenever you have questions. She is a top notch surgeon, so she wouldn't have you doing anything that would harm your son. Her email is ldavid@wfubmc.edu.

I just looked up the word and here is the definition:

In medicine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicine), a contraindication (pronounced as contra-indication) is a condition or factor that increases the risks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risks) involved in using a particular drug (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medication), carrying out a medical procedure, or engaging in a particular activity.

So this would mean that this helmet would NOT work with cranio, meaning he does not have cranio. I hope this helps!

Oh I have full confidence in what Dr. David suggests, I guess it's just the discretion as to weather or not he has mild metopic that gets my heard twirling! Suture closed, but no trig = no cranio? I don't know, it confuses me that his metopic suture is closed but that would not be considered cranio... I guess it does not matter, as long as he is getting good care, which he is :-) Like I said, I COMPLETELY trust Dr. David!

It's great that you have confidence in Dr. David. If you have the dr's email, I'd defenitely shoot and email over saying pretty much exactly what you said here. Dr. David sounds like somone who would take the time to answer any concerns.
