ok so i haven't posted in awhile but Logan is now havin a new set of problems!!! he had his sagittal surgery when he was 2 1/2 months old, he is now 5 1/2. well we went for our yearly check up last year and they did a CT scan cause his head still isnt shaped right. well his neurosurgeon said lets wait a year and let nature take its course. so this february we went back and i asked about logans headaches he's been having. the doc looked at the images from his scan last year and said it looks like his brain might be pushin against his skull causin the headaches. so we go for an MRI next week and straight to the neurosurgeon to see what needs done. my problem with this is why didnt he look at all the images last year? if he had looked at all of them maybe he would have seen the problem and corrected it before logan had more problems. anyone have this issue with their baby? :sigh

No experience with this, but it sounds so frustrating. I hope you are able to find some answers and help your little boy to get feeling better soon.
(((hugs)))
sorry to hear about logan's issues....not to mention very frustrating that the doc put it off for a year.
what type of surgery did logan have for his saggital and did he also have helmet therapy??

Sorry you are having these problems... My son Sam is 19 months old and had his surgery at 10 months... His head is still oblong to me and looks a little oval... but nonethe less beautiful and doesnt look awkward. When I bathe him is the only time I notice. Well anyways he has never been a good sleeper and wakes every couple of hours screaming. Not sure if he has a headache or what... so we are off to have a CAT scan tomorrow of his head and sinuses to see... I am hoping he is just a stubborn lil guy who wakes and looks for me to nurse.. But we will see tomorrow.
Please keep us posted and Good Luck.

hello. Sorry to hear you are having to deal with this problem. we too have had bad news. our little boy had surgery for sagittal in 2007. after surgery josh head shape never looked right to me. (feel free to look at his pictures in my profile) the surgeons for a year just kept telling me he just had narrow temples and that his head shape would never look perfect! a few months ago his forehead made dramatic changes for the worst so after showing the wonderful ladies on here they told me to email dr fearon for his opinion. he emailed back saying josh does not have just narrow temples but Metopic with trigon. with this i emailed pictures to josh surgeons who had another look at his very first ct scan and have now noticed his Metopic was partly fused. so now we are having new ct scans and a high possibility of surgery again. what shape does your little ones head have now to concern you. its such a worry having the first and thinking only surgery but to be told more problems is devastating. im here if you ever need to chat. keep your chin up and keep me posted x

It's a shame you're struggling with this still. I keep envisioning 5 as the age I can stop worrying, but I guess it's not ever truly over. I hope you get some answers from your MRI. Keep us posted. Hang in there, Mommy!
